Music Sales Composers At The Venice Film Festival

A number of films with original scores by Music Sales composers will be featured at this year's Venice Film Festival.

Volker Bertelmann has scored Haifaa Al Mansour's The Perfect Candidate - the first film to be funded by the Saudi Film Council. The comedic drama tells the story of a young female physician who maneuvers through her conservative, male-dominated society to run in municipal elections.

Todd Phillips' Joker will also premiere. The film has a score by Hildur Guðnadóttir and tells the lesser-known origin story of the notorious DC Universe villain.

The Kingmaker, Lauren Greenfield's documentary about Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines, has a score by Jocelyn Pook. The hotly anticipated film delves into the disturbing legacy of the Marcos regime and Imelda's attempts to aid her son's political career.

Jed Kurzel has also scored Benedict Andrews' political thriller Seberg, which stars Kristen Stewart and Anthony Mackie.
