Biography

Óscar Pascasio Monzón, teacher, pianist and composer, finished his Higher Degree studies in 1998, at the Superior Conservatory of Santiago de Compostela.

In May 2013 his first album, "La ribera del Pisuerga" was released and in 2015 his international leap took place as part of the network of American artists Enlightened Piano Radio.

In 2016 he received the Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles in the category Best Instrumental Album. In November 2017, his second album "Sensaciones" was released, reaching number 2 on One World Music, the most important list in Europe.

In 2018 the album “Sensaciones” is nominated for “Best Album of the Year” at the Enlightened Piano Awards (USA), managing to reach the final. The 3 finalists gave a concert at the Berlin Philharmonic. In 2019 he won the bronze medal at the Global Music Awards for his song "Magia".

He also composed a song for the Catalan company «Digital Maintenance», a song that was presented at the Sala Gaudí in La Pedrera (Barcelona). In 2021 his song "Words" reaches number 1 on OWM, the best European list and the song "Something between you and me" is nominated for best single of the year.

Currently there are more than 300.000 people who listen to Óscar Pascasio's music on Spotify every month, and his music has already reached 40 million streams on all digital platforms.
