Dessner double shortlisted for Opus Klassik awards

Bryce Dessner has been shortlisted in two categories for the 2025 OPUS KLASSIK awards for his 2024 album SOLOS. The specialist jury selected Dessner and the album in the shortlist for Composer of the Year and Classic Without Limits categories.

Wise Music composer Volker Bertelmann has also been shortlisted for the Film Music / Score of the Year category for his original score for Dune: Prophecy which came out last year.   

OPUS KLASSIK is Germany’s most important award for classical music and is organized by the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Klassischen Musik, a non-profit company. The selection of award recipients in currently 30 categories is carried out by an independent jury of eleven experts from the music and media industries.
