Sam Watts To Release Reflections

On October 12 Sam Watts will release his latest album, Reflections. Sam says of Reflections that it began life in 2006, when he composed ‘Dan & Lizzie’ for his brother’s wedding. This was followed in 2012 with the creation of ‘String Quartet No.1’. During the writing process of his first album, Sam so enjoyed working with the musicians that he began work on another album simultaneously, which spawned ‘Abundant Life’ and the inspiration for ‘String Quartet No.2’. The three-movement work for piano and string quartet that completes the album, ‘Reflections’, was a natural successor to all of these. Sam has described the album as ‘A culmination of many years, I hope my love of strings comes through in the music on Reflections; after all, that’s what made this album such a joy to write and record’.
