Peter Gregson Releases Quartets: One

On July 7th, Peter Gregson will release an EP of new string quartet music, Quartets: 001 via his own label, cabinbaggage (distributed by Believe Digital). His work to date has explored fusing analogue synthesisers with piano and strings, but this EP is left as a pure series of string quartets recorded simply in a former church in North London. This is the first of Gregson’s releases where he has not played his cello, preferring here to focus on writing for the quartet. An early track premiere on Headphone Commute, which called the EP “simply gorgeous, with no need for further words”, has led to international radio play for ‘The Day Before’.
