The Stanfields

The Stanfields are a five-man rock/roots band based in Halifax NS, Canada. Described by some sources as "the bastard children of AC/DC and Stan Rogers" the band blends a hard rock style with elements of traditional Atlantic Canadian folk music. They released their debut album “Vanguard of the Young & Reckless” in 2010 and followed up with “Death & Taxes” in 2012. Their third album “For King and Country” was released on 15 October 2013 and contained 10 new songs written, performed and recorded completely acoustically. The band is known for its powerful live show and have toured mostly in Canada and Germany. In 2012 the band signed a distribution deal with Hamburg based punk rock label Rookie Records. Their most recent album "Modem Operandi" which again sounds quite different was released in 2015 followed by a two-men acoustic tour through Germany in November and a bigger tour with the whole band in March.
