Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media today at the 2021 Grammy Awards. The composer’s Oscar-winning score for Joker picked up the win against Max Richter (Ad Astra), Kamasi Washington (Becoming), John Williams (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), and Thomas Newman (1917).

It’s the second year Hildur won the award; last year, she was recognized for her Chernobyl score. This year, she was also nominated (but did not win) for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella for the Joker song “Bathroom Dance.”
