"Ammonite" mit Score von Volker Bertelmann (Hauschka) und Dustin O'Halloran 

Das neue Historiendrama "Ammonite" von Francis Lee spielt im England der 1840er-Jahren und dreht sich um die Fossiliensammlerin Mary Anning (Kate Winslet) und ihre fiktive Beziehung zur Frau eines Geologen (Saoirse Ronan). Für den Score haben erneut unsere Komponisten Volker Bertelmann (Hauschka) und Dustin O'Halloran ("Lion", "A Christmas Carol") zusammengearbeitet. Der kreative Prozess verlief laut den Komponisten sehr organisch: "We knew from Francis Lee’s previous work this would be a score full of emotion and restraint. Because the film is a period piece, it also meant finding a tone and instrumentation that would work in this world. We used many natural sounds, so when the pieces arrive, it feels meaningful."

Der Spielfilm hat im September auf dem Toronto International Film Festival TIFF Premiere gefeiert. Deutscher Kinostart ist am 25.02.2021.
