Joy Exit release first EP

GERMAN (for English see below): Erdem Helvacioglu überrascht mit einem neuen Projekt - dem Elektro-Pop-Duo Joy Exit. Der Name leitet sich von dem Frida-Kahlo Zitat "I hope the exit is joyful and I hope never to return." ab. Zusammen mit der Sängerin und Songwriterin Şirin Soysal kreiert Erdem Helvacioglu hier ungewohnt poppige Klänge, die mal dunkel und melancholisch, mal verträumt daherkommen. ENGLISH: Joy Exit is the most recent project by composer Erdem Helvacioglu. He formed this cinematic pop duo togehter with singer and songwriter Şirin Soysal. Their name was inspired by Frida Kahlo's dying words, "I hope the exit is joyful and I hope never to return." Dark and melancholic with an acutely cinematic edge and a hint of arabesque, Joy Exit merges their dreamy synth-soundscape with wistful guitars and a lush, moody contralto.
