Biography

Ricardo Curto is a composer, producer and pianist who has released multiple records and worked extensively in music for cinema and television.

Featuring piano, strings and a vast array of acoustic and electronic instruments, his music is often described as sincere, emotional and immersive, and it flows between different styles, from neoclassical to jazz and experimental electronic.

His last releases are the soundtracks for Netflix limited series El Desorden Que Dejas (The Mess You Leave Behind), RTVE series Ana Tramel El Juego (Ana All In) and the next season of Netflix acclaimed series Elite, along with Argentinian composer Lucio Godoy. He also wrote the opening theme for Movistar+ series Instinto.
Ricardo is a Yamaha Artist, he has received two nominations at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, for the films Halcón Ciego (Blind Hawk) and ZERØ and has collaborated with leading ensembles such as the Czech National Symphonic Orchestra in Prague and the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra in Los Angeles. Ricardo has also released four jazz albums as a leader of his own trio, and has collaborated with many different international artists.

Ricardo graduated suma cum laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was mentored by legendary pianist and composer Joanne Brackeen, and holds a master's degree from Berklee Valencia.

Right now, Ricardo is about to release his first record apart from music for cinema or jazz: a conceptual album featuring piano, strings and analogue electronics as its main elements. The album has been recorded in Los Angeles with the collaboration of the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra and will be accompanied by original audiovisual material.
