NOJAZZ

Biography

Nojazz was born in 2001, from the encounter of musicians coming from different backgrounds. They released their first explosive album in 2002 and started touring France and Planet Earth, giving unforgettable concerts digged by passionate audiences and fans. They were thus described as a musical UFO. The band has performed in over 50 countries and has been featured in the biggest festivals. Nojazz has always included divers collaborations from the very beginning, starting with Teo Macero (Miles Davis legendary producer while with Columbia) who produced their first album in New York. Then, Mangu joined for an energetic rap on the song Candela. Later on, Claude Nougaro and his typical phrasé and verve, knocked things down with the witty K du Q. Their year-after-year tours in the USA allowed them to meet and start collaborating with Earth, Wind and Fire. That’s how they made the mythic session with Maurice White and Stevie Wonder on the Have Fun album.
