Biography
As composer of dramatic feature films that include Beautiful Wave, Nine Lives and Indak, numerous commercials feature-length documentaries such as In Search of David Jones, Edward White has distinguished himself as a composer that can take upon virtually any project and be successful with it.
Having received advice and mentoring from a number of established film and TV composers such as Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight), Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter) and Harry Gregson Williams (Chronicles of Narnia, Spy Game) has provided Edward White with the opportunity to hone his own skills to the highest international standard. His music has been recorded by the London Symphony, the China Philharmonic and Bulgarian Symphony Orchestras and in 2008, he premiered his first concert work - a chorale - at Warwick Arts Centre.
Working in the capacity of producer for several up-and-coming artists, White has written string arrangements on the forthcoming debut album ‘Insatiable’ from Girls Aloud star, Nadine Coyle. As a session guitarist, he has provided live performances for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dame Kiri Tekanewa and Boyzone.
In 2006, Edward was named a finalist in the BBC New Talent Young Television Composer Competition conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra at Angel Studios whilst in 2007, he was flown to Hollywood by a blue ribbon panel of judges chaired by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer as a finalist in the Turner Classic Movies Young Film Composer Competition
