Architect

Biography

Architect is a unique hybrid of idm, electronica and smooth ambient soundscapes as inexhaustibly explored by German mastermind Daniel Myer. Daniel began experimenting with electronic music in his teenage years, and in 1993 he founded the legendary electro-industrial/ebm project Haujobb. Since then he has made a name for himself in the modern electronic music scene and initiated several first class band projects like Hmb, Newt and Destroid – as well as he was a permanent member of the renowned Swedish electro band Covenant which he joined in 2007. Architect was created in 1998 and can be easily described as the most outstanding and fascinating of Daniel’s projects. His current album “Mine” was released to great critical acclaim in late 2013. It is Daniel Myer’s 6th album and features the participation of electronica legend and film composer Ben Lukas Boysen, producer and remix artist Paul Kendall (Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails), Dejan Samardzic (DSX, the other half of Haujobb) as well as the Hungarian singer Emese Arvai-Illes. The album combines eclectic electronica and accessible downtempo electro structures. Complex and pulsating beats and beautifully arranged instrumental parts provide a basis for Emese’s unique and haunting vocals. For fans of Massive Attack, Woodkid, Moderat or Recoil! Daniel is currently working on a new album to be released in 2016.
