Konx-om-Pax

Konx-om-Pax is Glasgow-based composer and visual Artist Tom Scholefield.

His EP Naja Naja was released august 7th 2026 - The EP reconnects with the raw, metallic pulse of 90s techno from Birmingham, Detroit and Berlin — a lineage that shaped his early work.

Naja Naja marks a recalibration — a return to harder forms filtered through Konx‑om‑Pax’s refined sense of texture and atmosphere. It’s both a nod to history and a step forward.

Konx-om-Pax' first full-length album on Planet Mu titled "Regional Surrealism was released in 2012, followed by Caramel (2016), Ways of Seeing (2019). Caramel was short-listed for Scottish Album of the Year in 2017

Refresher EP (2019) title track 'Cascada' featured in the Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 Haute Couture Show. In 2020 'Return to Cascada EP' was released and featured a remix by Skee Mask which received support from Four Tet and Mary Anne Hobbes.

As a performing artist, Tom has collaborated on Audio Visual live shows with Kode 9, Hudson Mohawke (Warp Records) and Lone (R&S Records). He curated an evening of music at Berlin Atonal Festival 2018 called "Contemporary Hardcore" which showcased cutting-edge visuals with classic rave music. In 2019 he toured "Ways of Seeing" live show around festivals in Europe including Mira (Barcalona) and Redbull Music Festival (Istanbul). 

2020 also saw the release of "Astronomical Objects", a long-form dreamlike ambient album that caught the attention of Wise Music.

"Due to the pandemic and not being able to tour, I started to teach myself about modular synthesis and generative art to develop systems for creating music with visual art. This new practice spawned my "System Works" series of EPs which I'm currently self-releasing. It was a way to publish experimental work as I developed my creative and playing skills with my modular system"

In 2022, Tom co-wrote the score with BC Smith for an action thriller titled "Stowaway" starring Ruby Rose which premiered on AMC+. Listen here.
