Carnival Youth

Biography

Carnival Youth is an indie rock band from Latvia and consists of the twins Edgars Kaupers (guitar, vocals) and Emīls Kaupers (drums, vocals), Roberts Vanags (keyboards, vocals) and Aleksis Luriņš (guitar, bass).

Carnival Youth is one of the most successful new generation bands from the Baltic region, as proved by The European Border Breakers award they received at Eurosonic Festival 2016.

Since the formation of the band in 2012, they have released 4 albums – “No Clouds Allowed”, "Propeller", "Vienā vilcienā" (with songs in Latvian) and the latest one - titled “Good Luck” - which came out on the 16th August, 2019. These records and their dynamic live performances have granted Carnival Youth a growing fan base all over Europe and critical acclaim.

The new album “Good Luck” was recorded last summer in Red Bull Studios in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It’s produced by the band’s long-time collaborator Gatis Zakis and mixed by the Grammy winning producer Nicolas Verhnes.
