Biographie

The composer Patrick Christensen aka PC Nackt is one of the most versatile artists in the German music scene. As composer, producer, and performer he combines classical influences, popular music and experimental sounds.

After he finished studying at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne, he moved to Berlin in 1999 and took a deep dive into electronical music. From 2000 till 2005 he was guitarist, co-author and musical director of the Nena-Band being part of Nena’s great comeback, with two multiple-platin albums.

In 2002 PC Nackt and his spouse Chérie founded the electro-punk band “Warren Suicide” and established the “Chez Chérie”, a studio for music and arts in Berlin-Neukölln.

In 2007 PC Nackt became musical director and co-founder of the String Theory project and has toured with the Göteborg String Theory Orchestra and singer-songwriter José González throughout the world since 2011. The album Sekou Andrews & The String Theory recorded in Los Angeles (conducted, co-produced and co-composed by PC Nackt) is currently nominated for a Grammy (Best Spoken Word Album).

Since 2011 PC Nackt has been co-producer and co-writer for the Berlin-based electro artist Sascha Ring aka Apparat with whom he is touring a lot. The co-written songs are often used in films and TV, e.g. the song “Goodbye” is the theme song of the popular Netflix series “Dark”.

PC Nackt has been composing music for international films, theatre productions and TV series, e.g. the soundtrack for the US movie Equals co-written with Sascha Ring and Dustin O’Halloran which received a Sountrack Stars award at the Venice Film Festival in 2015.
