Brandon Beal - Composer Showreel
Biography
The American songwriter, performer and producer, Brandon Beal, has been the man behind some of the most prominent hits in the past few years.
The Texan native released his first album “Comfortable” in 2006, while still living in the US. He was working closely with the Danish-American producer Multiman, who Brandon was introduced to through his brother, Teron, also a successful songwriter. The album was released independently but ended up selling over 80.000 units. Brandon's career quickly took off, working with some of the biggest names in the American music industry – Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga.
Brandon Beal kept in contact with Multiman and in 2011, he moved from New York to Copenhagen, where he started working with DJ Rasmus Hedegaard and Lukas Graham, among others. In 2014, he broke through the Danish and international music charts with “Twerk It Like Miley”, produced by Hedegaard, featuring Danish pop sensation Christopher. The song received the Club Hit of the Year accolade at the Danish Music Awards.
Brandon produced and wrote several tracks for Lukas Graham’s eponymous debut album, released in 2012. Among them were “Better Than Yourself”, which reached no. 1 on the Danish Chart. In 2016, he had another massive hit with Lukas Graham, the single “Golden” which has been streamed more than 67 million times on Spotify.
If you ask Brandon, it has been the right decision to move his career across the Atlantic. “It is not overstating it to say that making music in Denmark changed my life. I thought I had fallen out of love with music but I was wrong. It wasn’t the music, it was the geography. I needed to get away, and by doing that – get closer to the music.”
He recently released the single “Highs And Lows”, which represents the start of a new chapter for his career both as a songwriter and a performer.
