Alex Aller & Margarida Mariño - Transmutation (Live)
Biography
Asturian composer and music producer based in Madrid.
Among his most outstanding recent projects are the original soundtrack for This was meant to find you by the choreographic duo Recuerdo número 7, presented at La Biennale di Venezia 2024, the composition of the music for the opening ceremony of the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) held in Geneva, and as the most recent milestone, his participation in the 2025 edition of the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Compétition Immersive with the film Fillos do Vento: A Rapa, where he signs both the soundtrack and ambisonic sound design.
Within the advertising industry, he has worked for brands and companies such as Netflix, Mercedes Benz, Loewe or Redbull, and since 2025 he is part of the sound post production studio Isilik Studio based in Madrid and San Sebastian.
In 2024, he released his third studio album, Transmutation, in collaboration with composer and cellist Margarida Mariño. The album premiered at the last edition of the WOS Festival in Santiago de Compostela and continues its international presentation.
He has performed his compositions in spaces and cultural circuits of great relevance such as the Milan Design Week, the international festival Piano City, Conde Duque Madrid, the Victoria Eugenia Theater in San Sebastian or the Philharmonic Theater in Oviedo.
He is also part of the NGO, Sound Earth Legacy,, whose objective among others is to preserve the sounds of nature that are in danger of extinction. One of the ongoing projects is to develop a virtual instrument capable of converting field recordings captured by different scientific expeditions into a tool capable of making tonal music, as another element to support the spread of awareness of the climate emergency.
